Hunt Camps

Our Hunting Camps offer a unique opportunity to learn traditional and modern hunting methods, fostering a deep connection with the land and wildlife. Participants gain essential hunting skills while respecting wildlife and the environment. We work with local elders, hunters, guides, trappers, and fishermen to ensure that the methods we teach our programs reflect the traditional values of the communities we work for. The program covers understanding treaty rights, choosing a place to hunt, shotgun and rifle shooting range practice, planning and executing your hunt and searching for animal signs. Our hunt camps welcome all community members ages 10+.

Quote

"Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it — and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo."
- Wilma Mankiller
Wilma Mankiller (1945-2010) was a Native American activist, community organizer, and social worker. She was the first woman elected as Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation.
