Programs for Indigenous Communities

Dreamcatcher Holistic Health Services Inc. (DHHS) approaches each community with humility, looking first to its existing capacity for delivering health programs and seeking partnerships. DHHS creates business development opportunities for local Indigenous practitioners and offers training and job opportunities for new practitioners, resulting in new Health and Wellness programs in the community. Additionally, DHHS facilitates relationship-building between Indigenous communities, government, and the industries working in their territories.

Quote

"Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it — and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo."
- Wilma Mankiller
Wilma Mankiller (1945-2010) was a Native American activist, community organizer, and social worker. She was the first woman elected as Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation.
