Children and Family Safety Courses

Our Children and Family Safety courses provide practical, age-appropriate training that helps families build safer routines at home and in the community. Sessions focus on building confidence, awareness, and preparedness through skills families can use immediately when firearms are present in the home.

Common themes may include: home safety and hazard awareness; personal safety, boundaries, and safe decision-making (age-appropriate); emergency readiness and simple family safety planning; outdoor and seasonal safety considerations.

Quote

"Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it — and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo."
- Wilma Mankiller
Wilma Mankiller (1945-2010) was a Native American activist, community organizer, and social worker. She was the first woman elected as Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation.
